I Am a Robot!
This is the moment I have been waiting for an enjoying every week for nearly a year now...
Before we knew if Alden was a she or a he, I bought this robot sweater vest (read svest)with the hopes that no matter what, the little person would like it as much as I. Oooh, he loves it, indeed. Squawks "i-bot" when he sees it in the closet and must wear it.
I, personally, cannot rock a svest to save my life. My middle area is a little too pear-y shaped to not look like an intellectual carpenter ant (you know, thin arms and bulbous abdomen?). But Alden can make svests look like a great idea.

From the Archives
While sitting on our porch in San Diego over three years ago (wha?), I observed a group of Emo kids trudging their slack butts along the perfectly sunny sidewalk doing their best to bring the clouds of misery with them.
Me: (not trying to hide my older lady judgement) "They all look androgenous. All their very thin bodies. Like a tube. Like a lollipop."
Dustin: "Yeah, a lollipop that fell on some hair."
